HI I HAD A CAR AND SUPPLIED A COPY OF ALL THE SAME DOCUMENTS THAT I HAD WHEN I REGISTERED THE CAR IN RAYONG

IN MY NAME TO THE BUYER

HE HAS TRIED TO REG IN LADIES NAME AND WAS REFUSED

EVEN THOUGH I GAVE HIM CONTRACT FOR HOUSE I RENT IN BURIRAM

AS PROOF OF ADDRESS

WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR 5 WEEKS AGO IN RAYONG

 I HAD NO PROBLEMS THE

SELLER DID NOT SUPPLY ME WITH PROOF OF RESIDENCY OR  OTHER PAPER WORK ONLY THE SAME AS I HAVE SUPPLIED TO BUYER

BUT AS A PURCHASER I HAD TO HAVE PROOF OF RESIDENCY TO RE REGISTER IN MY NAME

DO I HAVE TO GET A PROOF OF RESIDENCY TO SELL CAR FROM RAYON G OR BURIRAM AS I HAVE HOUSE IN BOTH AREAS

AND IF SO WHERE DO I GET PROOF  OF  RESIDENCY IF I GET IT IN BURIRAM  AND CAR IS REG IN RAYONG WILL IT BE EXCEPTED

IF I GET RESIDENCY IN RAYONG WILL IT BE EXCEPTED IN BURIRAM ANY HELP APPRECIATED REGARDS GEOFF

It is my understanding that you need the same docs to sell a car as you do to buy one and register it: n your name. Probably best to speak to the transport office about where and when.

GEOFFREY ... Your initial post is a bit confusing. Have I got this right ?

You bought a car 5 weeks ago in Rayong. You now have a blue book with your name in it as the vehicle owner.

You are now trying to sell this car to a buyer (ferang?), but the buyer wants his lady (thai?) to be the registered owner and Licensing won't do it ?

If the above is correct, then the buyer has a problem. Not you. Let him sort out his problem. You don't really care who gives you the money, or who the new registered owner will be.

As a seller, you only need the vehicle blue book with your name in it as the current registered owner, some form of ID, then fill out the "seller" section of transfer papers at DLT

The vehicle blue book is the crucial doc in all this. I presume you have one ? DLT will most definately want to see it before changing their records to a different registered owner.

Another reason why the initial post is a bit confusing.

GEOFFREY stated that when he bought the car 5 weeks ago in Rayong "the seller did not provide me with proof of residency" which leads to the question ... how then did GEOFFREY register the car in his name ?

The question of where to get a Residency Cert was discussed in "Buying a Car in Buriram" just a few days ago. KCI will not do it for DLT purposes, without DLT letter first ... and DLT refuse to write this letter to KCI  55555 ....

Rayong Immi may do a Residency Cert for DLT purposes, without DLT input ?

So a Yellow Book, or a Res Cert from BKK Embassy are the 2 acceptable docs for M.Buriram DLT

WHEN I WENT TO REGISTER THE CAR IN RAYON IN MY NAME

 WE TOLD THE LADY WE LIVE IN BURIRAM

SO AFTER PUTTING MY NAME IN B BOOK SHE ATTACHED A PAPER TO BLUE BOOK

AND TOLD US WHEN WE GET TO BURIRAM GO TO DLT AND CHANGE DETAILS THEIR

WE DID THIS LAST WEEK AND WHERE REFUSED EVEN AFTER GETTING LADY IN RAYONG TO SPEAK TO DLT BURIRAM

I HAVE CALLED IMMIGRATION AND THEY HAVE TOLD US WHAT WE NEED FOR  A RESIDENCY CERT

WHICH INC  A LETTER FROM DLT

IMMIGRATION HAVE AGREED TO TALK TO DLT ON TEL IF WE HAVE PROBLEMS

BUT AS ASSURED US HE CAN DO  SO   8 AM MON DLT THEN TO IMMIGRATION REGARDS GEOFF PS SORRY CAPITALS EYES ARE BAD
