Getting to Know People
« on: November 07, 2015, 10:19:16 AM »
Here's the thing. I've been living her a little over a year now and have kept pretty busy on the house and getting set up. I've met and got to lnow a few people but not really socialised that much simply because of being busy. I live just outside Lam Plait Mat.
Who might be interested in a Pool Party at my place. Would be nice to have a few people over for drink, food and social etc.....wives, GFs and kids would be welcome. We've got a 12x6M pool with shallow end so was thinking would be nice to do an afternoon/ evening thing. I'll knock up a big pot of Chilli, rice, salad, garlic bread. nothing fancy. Beer/ wine etc.....Noi will do something for validly not liking Western food.
We've got a coupe of spare rooms, plenty of floor space if anyone over does it.
Not thinking anything fancy........just a bit of fun.
Thoughts and interest?

I'm making garlic bread right now as it happens and would never accept an invitation without bringing something along.   I don't really need a social life but it would be nice to talk in non pigeon English which I'm afraid I use at home quite often. No offence to other people that have invited me but I live in Ampoe Lamplaimat.

I have also been here about 2 years now and seem to have the same problems. Busy working on the house and cleaning up the yard which has been neglected for the last 40 years. I must live next door to you as I also "live just outside of Lam Plai Mat."

by the by "just outside of Lam Plai Mat" is a pretty big place   LOL
Thanks for the offer. Maybe we could work something out.

There are many expats living that way. I regularly meet 5 guys from that area. They won't see this as they are not members.

I always mention BE to expats that I meet. Some just aren't interested in forums.
