Some classic 'doctor speak' in the last paragraph!

Recommended Regimens for Treating Chlamydial Infections

Azithromycin 1 g orally in a single dose

OR

Doxycycline 100 mg orally twice a day for 7 days
Recommended Regimens for Treating Uncomplicated Gonococcal Infections of the Cervix, Urethra, and Rectum

Recommended regimen

Ceftriaxone 250 mg IM in a single dose

PLUS

Azithromycin 1g orally in a single dose

OR

Doxycycline 100 mg orally twice a day for 7 days*

Alternative regimen

If ceftriaxone is not available:

Cefixime 400 mg in a single oral dose

PLUS

Azithromycin 1 g orally in a single dose

OR

Doxycycline 100 mg orally twice daily for 7 days*

PLUS

Test-of-cure in 1 week

* Because of the high prevalence of tetracycline resistance among Gonococcal Isolate Surveillance Project isolates, particularly those with elevated minimum inhibitory concentrations to cefixime, the use of azithromycin as the second antimicrobial is preferred.

LOL.   Thanks Freddy, brought back some memories.  I was responsible for reporting on personnel in a 700 man unit and got with Doc for his views.  As I looked at the log almost all the entries (about 50) were "UTI"   (urinary track infection).  I naively asked, is UTI VD?  and was told yes.

That was my last and total personal exposure to STDs.  Amazing what you don't have to worry about when you don't stray.

Good Point.  I have also seen Thai Wife having a "brother".

My view is never put more into Thailand than you can afford to lose.  I would cry in my beer to have to go back to America and have to live in my Lake front home.
