testing water

I'd like to know what is the option for water testing in buriram.
is anyone make a self testing for the water quality around here?

I think TBWG said something about this a while ago, he bought a testing kit or he knew they were for sale at a homemarket, m not sure of which one, I think near the big Tweekit(is that written right?)

Sorry to revive this old topic, but I'm looking to test my well water.

I've heard that you can get it tested at Buriram Technical College, but I asked two students who go there and they haven't heard anything about this, but that doesn't have to mean anything

Anyone in the know ? Pichai maybe ?

Mr Pichai sent a water sample from ourroperty to Bangkok for testing. We were purchasing water treatment system from him so free of charge. Not sure what charge is but I know he does it.

Just an update.

Khun Pichai and Bob at RuangSangThai where so kind and send two bottles off to the Lab they use.

Results back in approx 2 weeks.

The only problem is that all the shops try to sell you a carbon filter whatever the test result is. Carbon don't take the hardness (lime and iron) out the water.

Not with RuansangThai, they didn't try to sell me anything

I like it that they advice me but they didn't try to sell me anything, and even if they tried I wouldn't have bought it as the water tested is just for showering and dishes, I just want it tested so I know it's relatively safe for that purpose.

You're saying that Carbon doesn't take the hardness out of the water, but WHAT does ?

There are various systems available for extracting calcium from the water, some of which don't work I'm sure that Rueangsongthai can advise you on that. My wife says she used 'Soda fai'  in the past, but she was a bit vague about how that was applied .
