Books
« on: January 03, 2015, 08:45:26 AM »
When I moved across to Thailand I brought about 20 books with me. Generally fiction, novels....Len Deighton, Tom Clancy, Stephen King, Jeffrey Archer.......... I'm getting through them at a fair old rate and am wondering if there is any kind of book club or book exchange up and running in the Buriram area. Appreciate that many now use Kindle and the like but personally I prefer old fashioned book reading method. If not already running, is there any other interest in setting up some sort of book swap get together once a month ??

Roma Pizza has a good little pile of pre loved books available for free.

Massimo welcomes anyone to take a book home, then return it when finished so someone else can enjoy it.

Correct about ROMA  smilenod

Add to that list .... Paddy's Irish Bar. Quite a lot of books that you can exchange one for one.

Coffee Connection also had a heap of books there when Rocky sold it. I am not sure if the new owner is still running an exchange though.

(don't forget pub free book exchange etiquette .... buy a meal and drink  party15)

Asia books online is also a good venue for selected books. Online discount up to 20% and free delivery to your house. You can also pay via 7/11.

DASA books in Bangkok (Sukhumvit Soi 26) is also a good option if you are passing through.

Thousands of books with an online list by genre. Paid delivery by EMS is available. You also get a 50% discount on your next purchase.

Before I left the US I had over 15,000 books, some I bought back in the 60's.  I would ofter re-read some of them.  But could not bring them here.

However, if they would have been on my kindle I would still have them.   I can indentify with liking a book instead of the kindle, but the space saying and ease of travel made me a convert.

Gook luck to you.
