Buying land in Buriram

Heck of a last couple days. Looking for land saw several that I was interested in. First one said meet him at home next morning to make the deal. I told "broker" that I wanted lawyer to draft any offer. Even better she added government official to the list of attendees. Get there this morning and no lawyer or government official. I raised hell. No one wanted to admit to cancelling them. His wife name as owner and he wants check made to him. Sensing a scam I called a real broker and I told the story...he said run like hell as I was walking out of that house. Saw several more liked a couple but when it was time to make a deal the "broker" called the owner who in turn said they wanted more than asking price or not for sale at all. I'll wait for the bubble to burst and then see who wants my money. I have time on my side.

TBH dont think bubble will be bursting anytime soon, best to get a Thai to negotiate for you initially, i let my wife do all the talking although i do understand and speak Thai, then I just pay the money once all is negotiated and contracts drawn up.
