Our trusty internet shop has closed up.  Is there somewhere in Prakhonchai or Prassat (open early) or near Immigration in Chong Cheom where I can print a few forms?

Would like to help, we have a high speed commercial Cannon I2525 printer for all your BW printing/copying needs, however we are located just north of Buriram city so not on your way.

In Prakhonchai there are two internet shops on the Maharaj Road opposite the bus station. Not sure what time they open.

From Buriram you have to go past My Corner and the Maharaj Road and after 150 metres do a U turn -  then take the second left with My Corner on the corner. About 250m on the right is Panda Internet + another.

iconurgent  icon_latest I took a friend to renew his extension based on retirement to immigration yesterday and there has been a major addition to the documentation required.

If you are using the 65K income route they now require, note REQUIRE, not request, in addition to a certified affidavid/statement of earnings from your embassy a bank statement or a copy of a Thai bank book showing that you have transfered/withdrawn sufficient funds to support yourself over the preceding 3 months prior to the date of your application.

They justify this requirement by stating that "there are a lot of fake or forged embassy letters being produced, we need to be sure you are bringing funds into the coumtry".

Several people were refused extensions yesterday with the simple phrase of "No bank statement, no extension, go away and get one"

I was also informed this also applies to those using the income route for marriage extensions.

Bank statement? You mean bank book, would that be ok?

Davu  -  he did quote 'bank statement or bank book'

If using a Thai bank then a bank book would be appropriate. Remember, there are several expats that still use their home country bank account and take money out via an ATM. In these cases a bank statement and/or ATM receipts would be appropriate.

Yep  -  let's just chop down a few more trees!!
