Anyone know if there are any flights from Phuket to Buriram or do you have to get to Bangkok?

None direct Rabbi.

This gives a list of flights from Phuket to Bangkok .....  http://www.domesticflightsthailand.com/PhukettoBangkok.htm

Then you have Nok Air for Bangkok to Buriram leg ......  http://www.nokair.com/nokconnext/aspx/flightschedule.aspx

With a bit of planning I reckon it could be done.

I believe you could have a problem if you  buy 2 low cost tickets for the 2 legs of the trip and you are delayed on the first flight and arrive too late to make the second plane.
I think you would be very much on your own with no help from the airlines.
If the tickets are with the same Company they may be more sympathetic than if you use two different Companies.

Personally I would take a bus to BKK get off at Rangsit take a taxi to Dom Muang and fly to Phuket.

Are you in a hurry?

There is a very nice VIP bus that goes from Phuket to Ubon. It stops in Buriram.

My mother in law has used this bus many times to travel from Prachuab Kiri Kan to Buriram and has nothing but praise for the service.
