Update on Prakhon Chai area restaurants?
« on: July 14, 2014, 05:37:56 AM »
Hi all,

I'm just about to retire and move permanently to the Prakhon Chai area (by September).  I've visited the Coffee Corner a couple times, the German place at the edge of town, and the little juice place around the corner from the Coffee Corner that actually makes a pretty good pizza.

Any update on those or other restaurants in the area?

There is also Time Out Fishing Park about 15Km from Prakhonchai towards Prasat. See website: www.bankadon.com

The German place (Deiter's) has gone.

Apart from the places mentioned there is also My Beach on the lake (best pizzas in town) and the best Thai restaurant is Baan Peet, also on the lake.

I think Khun G was referring to Laow Fun - well priced drinks and Thai dishes, service patchy. A small shop that also sells cakes - the best cakes (especially the chocolate cake) are from Panda Bakery inside the in Panda internet shop further down the road.

Timeout is always a good place to go.

Thanks to all for the updates.  We'll be there to put the info to use in a couple weeks.
