I have posted this before:

Why can't the English speak English?  Having supported the Brits in Iraq I learned that this vid from My Fair Lady is exactly correct.

You would be better off watching Mary Poppins - the worst English/Cockney dialect ever by Dick Van Dyke

Keith, it will be money well spent for you.

Ray, that is why I responded.  I really need to learn Thai.  And I believe I can scrape up the 3000 baht, I could buy one case less of Magners (just bought last week).

However, if the teacher is crappy, as davu notes, it is best to check before paying.  Having been an instructor, I personally would give a presentation to the students before I would try to get their hard earned money.  Which davu smartly states.

And because I am an American, I would not be insulted to be challenged this way.  Because when I taught, I believed I was the best and would back it up.  As we yanks say, put up or shut up.  If this instuctor is as good as they say, let them show it before we pay the baht.

But with a 1st class teacher getting through my thick skull on speaking Thai, 3000 baht is cheap cheap.

Keith,

I was referring to you having ENGLISH lessons!

Then you may be better equipped to communicate with Nookie!   thumbup thumbup
Not as long as he has a hole in his ASS!!

We are planning to have an open day for prospective students.

This will enable everyone to meet the teacher and ask any questions prior to enrolling.

The planned date is 16th May.

If this is of interest then please let us know if you would like to attend, as we need to know the numbers.

Thank You.

That is not our email address.

You need to add an "s" to service.

I knew it was my fault. It always is in Thailand. Even if I did copy it from your website. I haven't received an acknowledgement to my message of yesterday.
(paste): Please feel free to contact us at:

Buriramlanguageservice@gmail.com with your requirements. We will be happy to prepare a plan and fee specific to your requirements.

Doesn't look too good does it?

We are sorry to say that we really don't understand the need for sarcasm. We have read and replied  every email that we have received. You mentioned that our email address was not working and we pointed out that you were using the wrong address. You said that you used the "contact us" facility. We have replied to every email that we have received. Have you had a reply?

You have now made another comment that suggested our contact details were incorrect, where in actual fact you were incorrect as you again missed off the final "s".

We would be grateful if you could let us know your email address so that we can confirm that we have received correspondence from you.

Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.

Your enquiry with regards to the age of the teachers. We gave you a very informative answer and fully explained our plans and vision. You slightly disagreed with our philosophy and we accepted that view.

We fully appreciate your views and are sorry that you feel unable to participate in our classes.

We have received many positive responses and will be proceeding with our plan for a Thai language course for expats. As we said before, we are sorry that you are unable to attend.

My post was not meant sarcastically. The above address that I COPY-/PASTE-d from YOUR website is incorrect. I didn't use the incorrect email address, you guys did.
And no, I didn't get a reply. That's why I say again, it doesn't look very good, does it? An apology for getting your website wrong would have been in order, but apparently you didn't even check the website, did you? It has been changed now, congrats.

There seems to be some confusion here.

As previously requested, please send us your email address (by PM function on here would be best) so that we can check any correspondence from you.

We have received many emails via our website and they have all received a reply. There appears to be a problem at your end, as if we had received an email form you then you would have received a reply by now.

The only explanation that we can think of is that your email was sent to our spam folder, which is automatically cleared every day. If that is the case then we would not have seen it.

I know you ask interested parties to send an e.mail but could you be so kind as to give me an idea where  this open day would  be taking place. Distance and location from Buriram town would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.  thumbup

Thank you for your enquiry.

It has only just been decided where the first open day is taking place. We have had many enquiries and many of them have asked the same questions as you have.

We have several locations available for an open day. By asking perspective students their own location , which we do not wish to do on an open forum, we can decide which is most convenient for all.

We are sorry to inform you that the first open day is now fully subscribed. However, due to high levels of interest, there will be other open days and we will be pleased to let you know the date of the next one as soon as possible.

Thanks again.
