Study English/Thai in Buriram
« on: March 27, 2014, 09:20:55 AM »
We are now in the process of starting English classes for adults. The classes will take place in an air conditioned classroom at a convenient location in the town. Classes will be aimed at speaking with concise grammar and a clear accent. Class sizes will not exceed 8 students.

The courses will start as a 20 hour course. Classes will be held either 2 times or 3 times a week and will last 2 hours each.

The first course will start as soon as we have 6 students.

Course fees will be 3000 baht for a 20 hour course.

We have already received some interest from expats who would like their Thai partners to improve their communication skills. Please feel free to contact us if you require any further information or would like to register for a course.

Starting in the middle of May

Thai language courses for Expats.

This course will be taught by a native Thai speaker who has many years teaching experience. A current high workload, teaching Thai students to speak English, means that she will not be available for daytime classes until the new school term starts.

The courses will be run in the same way as the English courses above.

The course fees will be 3000 baht for 20 hours.

Please feel free to contact us.

I might be interested but I would pay ฿3000.- cash after the first lesson if I thought it was worthwhile. That's the way I did it back home and it seems very appropriate to me.

Good thought.

Might consider having a free class then have a collection for all who want to participate.

Ray, that is why I responded.  I really need to learn Thai.  And I believe I can scrape up the 3000 baht, I could buy one case less of Magners (just bought last week).

However, if the teacher is crappy, as davu notes, it is best to check before paying.  Having been an instructor, I personally would give a presentation to the students before I would try to get their hard earned money.  Which davu smartly states.

And because I am an American, I would not be insulted to be challenged this way.  Because when I taught, I believed I was the best and would back it up.  As we yanks say, put up or shut up.  If this instuctor is as good as they say, let them show it before we pay the baht.

But with a 1st class teacher getting through my thick skull on speaking Thai, 3000 baht is cheap cheap.

Thank you all for your comments.

Our courses are structured to the requirements of our students. The basic information that was given on the opening post was just that. It was intended to explicit interest in our services. It was noted, at the end of the post, that it was possible to contact us. That was the intended medium of communication for further information as we have a myriad of different courses on offer and, probably, too numerous to list on here. It is our belief that open forums are not the best place to ask for specific, personal requirements.

We have many courses running at present. All of our students have expressed great satisfaction. Some students have taken the time to contact us beforehand and request extra information and ask some specific questions about how they could enhance certain skills.

Our students have been particularly pleased with the professionalism of our qualified native speaking teachers, the fact that class sizes are limited to only 8 students and also the fact that interaction in the classroom is a big part of the lesson plan. We do not wish for our students to just come along and sit and listen to a teacher without the chance to speak too.

We strongly believe that these are the reasons, and it is because of our efforts to bring a quality service to our students, that all of our courses have been fully booked and that our students have been happy to pay their tuition fees with in our payment guidelines.

If you would like further details please feel free to ask, by mail or PM. We will be happy to talk.

That is why we use qualified and experienced native speakers. Thai courses are taught by a Thai and our English courses are taught by native speaking English speakers.

LOL, cute,  However, it works out better not to communicate with nookiefly.

I have heard that Thailand perfers Americans as English Teachers because Britains have too many different accents.

Why would you want your child to be taught incorrectly???
English should be taught as English not American English with the different spellings or any other English taught out there..

Why can't the English speak English?  Having supported the Brits in Iraq I learned that this vid from My Fair Lady is exactly correct.
