Buriram to Chong Chom
« on: January 30, 2014, 08:06:46 PM »
March 2013 taxi (metered) wanted 1500 baht from the Buriram Bus Station to M&D Coffee. He was told to F OFF. 5 minutes later we were on a local bus, 32 seats with fan air-con and chickens on the back going to Surin. Stopped about 6 times took about 1 hour to arrive at the Surin bus station. Cost 40 baht. Friends collected us. But at the Surin Bus station there is a local van service that departs every 30 minutes and goes down the 214 all the way to Chong Chom Cost 40 baht to KCI and M&D and 60 baht to the crossing.  Just an idea.  oldmanwithstick

Thanks for that GL.

I would also be interested in something between the chicken bus and the greedy bastard who wanted 1,500 Baht.

It is about 120km and I think a fair price for a taxi would be 800/1,000 Baht

How very civil of you.
Would it not have been just as easy to say no thank you,but sorry i forgot you're American,a country where the word manners does not exist.
Politeness and civility costs nothing.

That's a f***ing lie...sometimes.
On the other hand, if you are going to trash us for our manners, please do it with correct grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary, unless, of course English is not your mother tongue, in which case I congratulate you on your linguistic skills.
