Buriram to Chong Chom

March 2013 taxi (metered) wanted 1500 baht from the Buriram Bus Station to M&D Coffee. He was told to F OFF. 5 minutes later we were on a local bus, 32 seats with fan air-con and chickens on the back going to Surin. Stopped about 6 times took about 1 hour to arrive at the Surin bus station. Cost 40 baht. Friends collected us. But at the Surin Bus station there is a local van service that departs every 30 minutes and goes down the 214 all the way to Chong Chom Cost 40 baht to KCI and M&D and 60 baht to the crossing.  Just an idea.

I would also be interested in something between the chicken bus and the greedy bastard who wanted 1,500 Baht.

It is about 120km and I think a fair price for a taxi would be 800/1,000 Baht

Well Tony,sorry,but when has an American last spelt many words correctly? Examples,Tyre,Cheque,Honour,etc.AND dozens more.
