Review of a night's stay in the Best Western Hotel.
« on: December 11, 2013, 06:29:39 PM »
Hi All,just thought I would write some quick thoughts and comments,on Burirams Best Western Hotel.
My Wife and I will occasionally, stay in Buriram if we are out for a night,or visiting, and want to avoid driving home late at night( with a few under the belt redman ).
So we booked into the hotel in the early afternoon.Upon arrival,we went to reception, and had the pleasure of three young ladies talking to each other, this is just an observation, but three girls? The hotel was nearly empty at that point.Anyway we were served quickly and the Lady who served us had excellent command of English,so all good.
We had the choice of 2 room prices, and since I already knew from BE forum the prices I asked for the delux suite @ 899Baht? I was told the price was 1000+ something for "service charge" and VAT.
I now asked for the standard rate and it was100Baht less then the delux price,so about 940 baht.
Now I'm not one to whinge over a few Baht, but it appears very deceptive to NOT quote an "all in" price,as the sign on the desk clearly does NOT state an all in price.
I must say now that this is the only real complaint we had,the rooms are excellent,as you would expect from a new hotel, breakfast is included, and we had dinner there as well, good range of foods, and reasonable to good quality at 200Baht each.Drink prices are medium to average, although a gin is quoted at 90 Baht, and costs 100Baht,probably just teething problem. My wife said the Thai food inside was good, not outstanding, but good for the money.
A relaxing atmosphere, plus the pool.Good security for the carpark at the rear.If they put in a little music it would be superb place to eat, drink and unwind.I hope they can keep up the standards after a year or twoo,OR even improve more....if I think ofanything else I'll mention it,JasonB.

You can get hamburger buns - of sorts - from Makro. 30 baht for 6 in a sealed bag.

Not the best, but a whole lot better than nothing.

Got hot dog buns?  Big C was carrying them, but haven't seen for over 3 weeks (plus haven't seen burger buns in weeks either).

Very little demand for the hot dog rolls..........I have one guy who has 4 dozen every time I come back from Pattaya other than that I don't stock them unless they are preordered
