Sawatdee Krap Buriram
« on: December 12, 2008, 10:27:47 PM »
The old Sawatdee Krap bar is now under new management.
It has a new name “FRIENDS”.
Arne and his "lovely" wife have departed and Chris and Wan now have the place.
Chris is the pie making Maori that many of you will know from the Red Ribbon etc., so expect the food to be very good.
He just started today (12th).

*buriramians, try the schnitzel you'll now regret on it,and the potatos are VERY tasty.

Keep prices reasonable and the "bums" will keep going to your place as before.
 character2 GOOD LUCK !

Hi guys please set me straight. So it seems that now we have the Vinyl and the Irish bar facing the lake and the Red Ribbon on the other side of the lake. Then in town there is the Bamboo bar at the crossroads and the Sawatdee Krap just along the bus station road about 100 metres - is that correct?
My wife and I were in town on Wednesday and saw that the Bamboo Bar has a very impressive display of yellow and red flowers around his shop. sawadi
I had a late breakfast at the Vinyl a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. hungry1

Went last night to Chris's place "Friendz" (its not a mistake, thats how they write it there) , had a nice time there with some friends, the place is perfect for these days as its not hot at all and can enjoy the cool breeze outside.
Anyway,he had some thai band there singing thai english songs and it was entertaining something..  jumping6
Didn't order any of his food as I came too late after dinner, the place looks nice, I wish him best luck with his new place ! sawadi

Went yesterday to Chris's place "Friendz" with friends, the food is of course, excellent !
He have some kind of promotion now of a roasted pork/beef with mushed potatos (big meal) for 95 Baht.[microwaved].
One of us ordered it and it looks good,he said that even though it's microwaved its good and tastey.

*He also got PIES with various of fillings. the sweet fillings such as apple, strewberry, etc cost 50~ Baht/each.
The meat fillings (ie:beef,pork) cost 90~ Baht/each.

I ordered of course, weiner schnizel with mushed potatos and gravy sauce on top of it..
VERY TASTEY !! 190 Baht. BIG meal.  hungry1

Nice guy,can see he really try to make this place back to work again and it was nice and pleasant to sit there near the river in a natural enviroment. there was a thai band there however they weren't noisy and sang an English songs as well.  character2
