Aussies Coming Over For Jetski Race
« on: April 02, 2013, 10:16:23 AM »
Hello

Myself and another father are bringing our kids over to race a Jetski round this weekend on the 6th and 7th April and looking for any help and advice we can receive from you great people. We fly into Bangkok on Thursday at 3.15pm and travelling by taxi that arvo/night staying at the The Pnakorn Hotel, Burirum.  Is it ok travelling at night we have an english speaking driver?  We are going to be totally out of our comfort zone so like any said and help and advice would be greatly accepted.

Best regards

Ashley

Hi Ashley, nice to hear more Aussies visiting Buriram. As far as driving at night, most would not recommend late night driving here. However, your arrival time would mean mostly late afternoon and some evening driving. This would be better than the middle of the night.Bangkok to Buriram  takes a bit over 5 hours, subject to traffic and number of" pitstops". For a decent meal ,try Muang Pizza[Details on this website].Unfortunately, would not recommend the food at your hotel,The Tepnakorn.Plenty of other good places around though.I will try to make it to the races, maybe see you there,Cheers and good luck with your trip. boatsailing

Driving in the night time is much more better and safer... Nice and quiet with less fools driving on the wrong side of the road and your journey will be much quicker.. Have a great time..

Toffo, maybe less tax collectors on the road in the middle of the night-but watch out for all those Daft people you mentioned earlier. bike038
