I try not to worry about anything I cannot change. Lifestyle/work/who to trust/expectations; are a different matter.

I built a house & bought a truck when £ = 72b. Both are gone now but I am still very happy in Thailand. Forget the past and make your future enjoyable, that's what I say and try to do.

Although you now have Baht income, I would still say that happiness is more achievable at 72 than 44.
( Do I ???)

I now anticipate a few retorts of money does not equal happiness. Whilst there is some truth in that, if you have not got enough money life can be difficult. Having money gives choices - having less money reduces those choices.

I have met a few £ millionaires who were the most miserable buggers on earth!  :o Poverty does look so quaint in retrospect  :D.

I suppose its the pint half empty syndrome. I feel a Starman post coming along soon!  punk

True but that reminds me of the saying... You don't stop having fun when you're older. You get older when you stop having fun!

p.s. I am not a god-botherer!  :D :D :D

A sage?????

I'd much rather be an Oregano, or maybe a parsley. Far more aromatic.

There you go kerfuffled. party14

I would hate to see the state of your undies mate !!

An old codger goes to visit his doctor about painful peeing. His wife goes with him because the poor old bloke is hard of hearing.

After an examination the Doctor says to the old man, “Right, I’ll need you to leave a urine, semen and feces samples for analysis.”

The old man didn’t quite hear the Doctor and asks his wife, “What did the Doctor say?”

The wife replies, “He wants you to leave your underpants here, dear.”

Brother we are in the same boat...both gone now. (Along with house full of furniture and garage full of tools from USA.)
I also built and purchased when the baht was 36 to 1USD.
Still learning to move on, but trying to regroup and get it together by retirement time. This time will plan a bit differently.  However, I do plan to enjoy!

Best of luck!

As I can only speak for myself, they went to an ex wife who promised to take care of me "forever" (or until she got her US citizenship - whichever came first.  Citizenship came first.)
