Farang bogans at football

Had a great time at I-Mobile last night v Supanburi. First half was pretty ordinary ... but second half was fantastic. Really livened up big time and became very physical after Supanburi scored the 1st goal. End result was satisfactory for Buriram fans I guess. 1-1 draw

My post is a little whinge about embarrassing behaviour by a couple of farangs. In a crowd of 20,000 there will always be a few bogans, but when it is farangs, it stands out even more.

These two characters seem to think it's ok to stand for most of the match, thus blocking the view of people sitting behind them. If you want to stand, then join the fan club who stand up for the whole match ... (except for half time break)

ok ... sometimes the far corner of the pitch is obstructed from view by the fan club, but for Christ's sake ... sit down again when the play comes back into view after 30secs.

Hurling abuse at the referee and opposition players is part of being a fan (I guess ??), but to yell abuse using every four letter foul swear word in the English language is just embarrassing. Perhaps these guys figure that Thai's don't understand English swear words ... but many do !!

It REALLY is unacceptable at I-Mobile where much of the crowd is families ... might be ok in the "bleachers" of some English ground with 4,000 male supporters around you doing the same thing. But not here.

I suggest it reflects very badly on farangs in general. Families will go home saying "what a bunch of tossers farangs are."

Put the situation in reverse. You are in your home country watching your favourite sport, and a couple of "aliens" are sitting nearby acting like bogans. You will "pigeon hole" that nationality as being idiots. Of course we do.

I'm tempted to disclose the seating location of these two farangs, but probably will serve no useful purpose. They are regulars. See them at every game, sometimes with their wives.

Guys ... if you recognise yourself in the above post ... then please ... enjoy the football ... but bear in mind that many fans sitting in the immediate vicinity probably have a very dim view of your behaviour.

Farangs "stand out" so much as it is in Thailand. Every move we make, seems like 2,000 eyes are watching us. We ARE different. Let's set a good example.

That kind of behavior is what will make things difficult for the rest of us farang when we go to enjoy a good match.  lets not ruin it guys!
