Off course toffo  :D don't you know. Nookie build a new jetty at the Nong Ding Daeng lake, on the left it is for waterski and jetski and on the right for merlinfishing. He also juist buils a new "clubhouse" for people like quande, only 50.000 membership plus annual 35.000 fee ... it is damn cheap for what you get ...  character3  :D

Yeah.... I dont even have a drivers licence in Norway, so that could get tricky  :P
But I thought you did not need a licence to drive a scooter?
Anyway..... I will have a beer for every meal, so driving is out of the question anyway  wackobar

Anybody knows if there is a golf course nearby?

You don't need a licence to drive a scooter until you get stopped by the police.....it'll cost you a 200baht donation every time!

Usual past times for first timers are:-

- Throw a party for the village
- Buy some cows or buffalo
- Buy some land
- Start to build a house

Go home skint :D

If you don't do any of those things, then you will have had a successful first visit and we will see you again thumbup

You might add to that list....Buy a minibus for prospective Father in Law.    (One in my village did just that!)

And I heard the same info as Toffo re the cute University Girls. Get to the bar early if you want Pole position!

and start a business for the girl doing something she is not interested in/has no experience/ qualifications then close it down a year or so latter when all YOUR money has dried up.

Welcome to the forum. Your GF was not exaggerating there is nothing to do in Non Din Dang. In fact NDD makes Lahansai look like a bustling metropolis (and trust me it is not). I laughed when you asked about a jetski. That being said you will get to see what life in a rural Thai village is like. I was in Tromso once (April of 1997) I think you will have fun, make the best of it.

All of that aside, it is generally fun and welcoming in the village, it is the land of smiles, just remember it is ok to say no, there is always hair brain schemes with the best of intentions....my gf family and herself have never been upset when I say no, I'm polite but firm. I'm sure you will have a great time, great food and enjoy your break. All the best, my gf from village close to Non Din Daeng I am currently here, and if I'm here when you come I will pick you up for a Drink. party4
