Looking at the other side of the coin: I have a thai coming to do my gardening once or twice a month, does everything, clears and sweeps up afterwards and does a genuine 8 hours. I also use a labourer who has been known to move 2 loads of soil on his own in one day. Lastly one of the most genuine and professional is a 78 year old Doctor, still practising, and running a club and clinic for sufferers of osteo-porosis. I am sure there are many more Thais who don't get a mention but make our days brighter

i don't think the general Thai was ever in the cross-hairs for any ridicule on this link....even young Thais...i think it was Targeting the shithead young Thais 16-24 who are shitheads for the whole community and of course for us Farang we are not allowed to really do anything...as no matter what, we are in the shit...by law or community. none of us would consider moving here unless we liked/loved the people in general.

On the other thread I think we were talking about teenagers and young Thai men that sit about all day and do fcuk all apart from cause trouble. To say all Thais are sh8theads ( as you assume we are saying ) is just daft. I also know locals Thais and guys who I have had working for me in the past that are nice and hard-working ,Guys that I would be more than happy to sit and have a drink with ( and a few Thai Ladies also  )
As with most ex-pat forum ( from any Countries ) there is always a slight underlying trend to diss the locals and say how thing are different or better their own countries is and make comparisons.
Just look at the USA Gun-law thread,its not only the Thais that get a bashing on here

I see Thais every day doing backbreaking labor.  A lot of old Thai women here walk bend over probably a result of that hard work.  There are Thais out every day scrounging bottles and such from trash to make a few baht.  I think Asians in general are hard working people and I have great respect for them. 

I in no way meant the Sh!thead comment for all Thais.  I am a guest in this country and I am thankful for the Thais to let me stay here.

Interesting, this topic was truncated.  I started the topic a year ago after breaking up a fight between some Thai male shitheads, and this thread kind of agrees that Thai males 16 -24 qualified as shitheads (personnally I think it is all males not just Thais). 

However, just had a delegation of 10 of these males come by.  They had my TW get me to come out and talk to them.   Seems they want me to sponsor their village football team.  Kind of hard to say no to these kids who are also my customers.

Two years ago I sponsored the team and was at every game with a case of beer and coke (the kind you drink) after the game.  Last year they went with 2 other sponsors so I didn't go to the games.  I think they like how I sponsor. 

Anyway, off the market tomorrow with a member in tow to pick out the shirts.  The total price tag to me is less than 30,000 baht.  But as COCO says, money well spent.

I also love this country,and I care about it as much as anyone...yes,yes I know,I can get the shits over certain things they do,or not do,the "face"thing is probably the worst for me,as it stops the country moving forward.
I also hate the lazy fu$king husbands and boyfriends not doing sh$t,and the women doing everything.But I too know many lovely Thai people,who would give you the shirt off their backs.As for the young Thai guys,well were not a lot of us shitheads when we were 20 or so? Some would say I still am

  i sponsored a football team in the uk and the cost of a full kit there with printing was around about 8000 bht i should think here it would be much cheaper

The shirts, drinks and stuff will come to about  8000 baht.   Where the money really goes is the 1000 baht per goal party bonus, got hit for 5K one game.  And that game the Brit wanker sponsoring other team was giving 2000 baht per goal.  But he paid more than me, and lost.  Life can be good. 

So bought the shirts at about 3000, and need to get them printed with my store name.  Costs a little over 1000.
