Thailand 2010 Census Results

I thought some of the results from 2010 Thai Census may be of interest. All of the following figures came from these sites

These are the official Premliminary Results. The final results appear to be only available in hard copy "book" form that can be purchased from National Statistics Office. Each Province has it's own "book".  Buriram book is 218 pages long !!

65,000,000   people in Thailand
 8,300,000    people in BKK

 1,265,020    people in Buriram Province  (down from 1,493,359 in 2000 Census.  -1.66 growth rate)
    371,020    people in Buriram Province live in Municiple area
    894,000    people in Buriram Province live in rural area

    350,223    "dwellings" in Buriram Province.  Av 3.6 people per dwelling

    513,119    sq km   size of Thailand               (for the Aussies ... NSW is 800,000 sq km)
      10,323    sq km   size of Buriram Province  (for the Aussies ... ACT Is 2400 sq km)

There are 100 females for 96 males in Buriram Province

My apologies to the guys living in neighbouring Provinces. I was really only interested in Buriram, however, the above websites give similiar breakdown for every Province in Thailand.

I thought a census was usually more accurate than rounding to the nearest 100,000!
