Lift to Chong Chom/Kap Choeng 27th Dec
« on: December 23, 2012, 05:41:27 PM »
I'm driving my car from Mueang Buriram to Chong Chom on Thursday 27th Dec to do a "border hop" to activate 2nd entry on my TR visa. Back to Buriram same day (hopefully !!)  Not planning on doing any shopping at market.

If anyone needs a ride, I'll be happy for the companionship. No charge. I'm going anyway.

I'm dropping into Kap Choeng Immigration first just to double check the Re-entry Permit, as I'm still unsure if that's a requirement for TR multiple entry visa. So if you only need Kap Choeng, thats ok. You can have a coffee at M & D whilst I knick over the border and back.

If you have a multi entry visa there is no need for a re entry permit. Just make sure that the "Use before" date is still valid. Also, don't forget to write the visa number on the arrival card when you come back in. If you don't then they will only give you 15 days.

If your going over the border you can hire one of the Thai guys to help. They usually charge 200baht and fill out all the paperwork for you as you go. They are helpful and you are also helping them. The next time you have to do it you will know what to do yourself.
Don't worry about finding a visa guide as they will find you.

Not at all, I just do not see a need to get help filling in forms that are in English by any other nationality (assuming one can read English) and like you, I do believe in goodwill to all men. I havn't attacked one yet!  boxingguy

Have a great Christmas

How does your reply help Bonghead?
Up to him if he decides to use them or not. At least I offered him knowledge of something that can help him with his request.
We are all newbies at some point and I was very reasured and gratefull for this advice when I did my first visa run. On the other hand we can all take a leaf out of your book and be no use to anybody Mr Scrouge!

As no-one seems to have answered your question,,,,you fill it in before going to the Thai Immigration Officer...As you must have filled out the other half of it when you arrived its pretty simple ,done in a couple of minutes.
