Whilst 3.5 rai is not that big a site, the 10m Baht asking price does not (on the face of it) sound high for a beautiful location such as Pai.

And unfortunately it will never make money and whitely away at your investment until another would-be hotelier comes along and relieve's you of your money-pit.
A possible long term investment for the under 30's !!!

Good luck with the sale

Just a point of view.
If you disagree you are entitled to put your views across.
I did say it could be a good long term investment so not totally negative. :)

I don't know the resort, so no grounds to disagree. I thought maybe you had specific reasons...in the know!

I have never been there ,although I have been to Pai.
My view was a view on small business's( Resort's ) in general in Thailand. If I had 10 mill in the bank the last thing I would do is spend it on a small resort in Thailand.
People like Nookie seem to have it right when it comes to small business's in Thailand,if anyone know's his set-up then they will know what I mean.

It is, of course, not the only business model that works.

There are other, more capital intensive, options available.

I would have thought a well run resort in Pai with its consistant turnover of tourist would be a very good business prospect. An the price does seem very reasonable Co-co.

If we are playing a guessing game, I would say they are in for 5/6m Baht depending on the cost of land.

There seem to be many resorts for sale in the Pai area - and at the beginning of high season. I wonder why?

I was just looking, and it looks lovely, with 4 houses and what appears to be large pool and maybe an entertainment area......might well suit an extended family,or if you want to give your wifes relatives some sort of leg up,and a nice life style, forget the business side of it,has anyone thought of this, regards JasonB.
