I will be on Norwegian Breakaway as technical support on the maiden voyage to New York, sign off  May -7 for a 3 month vacation in Buriram and than back to Papenburg to finish building Norwegian Geataway and take it to Miami.

B-L, can you tell me what capacity of persons for the life boats and how many do you have? What other LSA is there, liferafts or MES?

I will be going to Monfalcone next month for the Royal Princess with 275 person capacity lifeboats, can't wait to play with them....

Life boats 305 and tenders 258. I was one of the first to try our MES, scary! Good luck on your new asignment

This will be my 10th new build, but this will be our biggest ship for a few years.

We love MES, but the Royal will have a different type, on our older ships it is a chute that you drop through, but the new one is more like a helter skelter slide.
However in the trials carried out last year the rafts didn't inflate correctly, so more testing is needed by RFD to make sure it works correctly.

I much prefer smaller ships, much easier to get everybody off if the shit hits the fan!!
