SCB will do it, you need to have double the amount of wanted credit on a "locked" bank account unless you have work permit and an income to show in Thailand.

Why have credit card if you need to have same (or even doble) amount inside the bank ? Then regular debit card will be a much better option and (guess) with lower charges smilenod.

And you are a traveling man I presume? Have you tried to make reservations or other things abroad with a Thai debit card. The question was not if it was good or not but if it was possible.  brick1

At the time I got tired of searching and begging for credit card just to be able to make shopping on the internet and abroad.
I found Kasikorn bank shopping DEBIT card as reliable, good customer service and most important: WORKING!! :)

I kept my UK VISA credit & debit cards on when I came to live here.
My bank HSBC were happy to change my address to my house here without any problem....
Just received new cards....no problemo
