Lookchaomaesaitong Sit Namkabuan Gym is a family run, traditional muay thai gym located in the city of Buriram, Isaan.  Isaan is Thailand’s Northeastern region and the birthplace of many muay thai champions, past and present.  Buriram province has contributed greatly to those numbers.
 
Foreigners are welcome to train at Lookchaomaesaitong Sit Namkabuan Gym.
 
Details:
 
TRAINING
 
Morning – 5:40 am start
 
16 km run, bag work and fitness/weight training.  Pads are available on request (at no additional cost).
 
Evening – 4:00 pm start
 
4 km run,  20 – 30 minutes skipping rope, bag work, five, five minute rounds on pads, clinching  possibly followed by more bag work/knees and fitness/weight training.  Western boxing sparring semi regularly on Mondays.
 
Training is available six days a week, Monday – Saturday.

FIGHT AVAILABILITY/PROMOTION
 
Owner Mr Nipon Chotison has been involved in muay thai for decades (Coban Lookchaomaesaitong began his professional career under his care).  He and son-in-law Namkabuan regularly work as referees and judges in Buriram provincial fights.   They also own a number of rings which are rented out locally.  There is plenty of opportunity for fighters of all levels to fight under their promotion.  They are also well connected to fight promotions in Bangkok.  This includes Lumpinee Stadium.
 
ACCOMMODATION
 
Accommodation is available in the Chotison family home and at the gym (males only).  The Chotison residence is a few buildings away from Lookchaomaesaitong Sit Namkabuan Gym.  Buriram has a number of hotels and modestly priced apartments available within close range of the gym.
 
Apartments range anywhere from 1,500 baht – 3,500 baht plus utilities per month.
