Wrong DD, the retirement extention is the easiest extention and the less costly : only 1.900 baht without re-entry permit. The only thing you have to comply with is having either a yearly proven income of 65.000 baht a month or 800.000 baht in a thai bank prior to your extention application ....

Immigration also much prefer the retirement extension - it is easier for them.

Croc - if you see Richard today ask him about the other personal who says they don't have to do 80 day reporting. Think he is from Ban Kruat.

The what?

Fat fingers, small keyboard!   -  90 days.

GL  - I only go into Prakhonchai a couple of times a week so the guy should bring them in next week. He did say that the immigration officer was fiddling around for some time changing the dates on his stamp for the report slips.

Just as a side issue - he says he has four, IF these are indeed 90 day slips would three not suffice ?

Remember - I am just the messenger here trying to gleen and pass on information.

If they turn out to be luncheon vouchers don't fcuking blame me !!

Just three not four and if he goes out of Thailand he just blew that 2K.  mhihi

Unless he has a re-entry permit ?

I think the point that GL was trying to make is that if he leaves the country then is 90 days will be out of sync. The clock restarts when you re enter the country. He could probably get away with it if he went away for the right amount of time, returning to Thailand on his 90 day report date.

Are Immigration eagle eyed enough to see that someone "reported" while they were out of the country?

Starman is correct CO-CO. What happens if he wants to go to Siem Reap on one of your tours?

I doubt it would matter.

In +15 trips out of Thailand I have never once seen an Immigration officer at the airport look at my TM47.

On one particular TM47 (due to the frequent going and coming) I crossed out the REPORT date 5 times and replaced it with the +90 day date.

At my next extension (KCI) that TM47 was removed, without comment, and a new one put in place that synced with my extension.

Just my thoughts ::)

Its not the going out or coming back its the odds of a newbie' that can't recalculate his report date and gets busted at immigration as the boy that suckered him is not there..

I doubt it would be an issue if he has 4 of the f@#kers pre filled and signed already.

Personally, I wouldn't subscribe to that way of doing 90 day reports if offered, as I enjoy the trip to KCI and the coffee break at M and D:)

Yep, point understood gents - I will pose that question to him.

Out of interest is the reporting process automated or do they keep manual records.

When someone re-sets the 90 day cycle by going out of the country what is there to evidence this ? Does the individual count the 90 days from the entry stamp and report on that date ?

IF the guy in Prakhonchai has reporting slips, presumably KCI has recorded these somewhere - in that case it wouldn't matter if he is out of sync or not - or have I missed something (again! love5)
