I know someone that posts his passport to a visa agent in Pattaya who does his 90 day report for him and then posts it back posts it back...3 time for the year is just over 600 baht total ( including postage  )and on his 4th report he does his one year retirement extension. ( and he uses his Surin address )

Simple

Its all black and very mysterious.. whistle

Nothing black and very mysterious.....he is on a retirement extension and posts his passport to a Visa Agent ( a shop run by the Wife of a top Immigration Officer at Chonburi  Immagration) who does his 90 day report and posts it back to him.

This service is open to anybody that takes time out visiting Visa Agents in Pattaya.

If you live close to KCI,then go and do it for free......if you live a distance from KCI and near a local post office  then for 200 baht you could do this by post.Only for people that are on a Retirement extension though ( not possible for those on a marriage extension )

Sorry miss read. KCI and Korat do not accept 90 day reports by mail or by 3rd parties. So what he is doing is acceptable.

Was this your first 90 day report?  Sounds like you have it pretty much streamlined.

Kind of.  When I got my new "Visa" in Feb, the last bit of paperwork was a new 90 day report, still haven't figured out that one.

Otherwise, yes, this is my 1st one this year.  Of course I cheated by going to the US in April, so the 90 day was based on my return date into Thailand.

Urleft,

Do you know of anyone that got married in USA and obtained Non O here?  I have marriage certificate translated to Thai, my last divorce translated to Thai, and getting the US Marriage Cert certified by the state dept.  That and a few photos is what I need to take to the embassy here.  Just wondering if anyone had trouble getting extension based on marriage when in LOS if done like this.  Last I remember the retirement visa was much more costly.

Wrong DD, the retirement extention is the easiest extention and the less costly : only 1.900 baht without re-entry permit. The only thing you have to comply with is having either a yearly proven income of 65.000 baht a month or 800.000 baht in a thai bank prior to your extention application ....

People get an O visa based on marriage or retirement in the US. DO NOT get a tourist visa. This is where people fcuk up and cause their own problems. You get an O visa conversion should be a cake walk.

Immigration also much prefer the retirement extension - it is easier for them.

Croc - if you see Richard today ask him about the other personal who says they don't have to do 80 day reporting. Think he is from Ban Kruat.

Fat fingers, small keyboard!   -  90 days.

GL  - I only go into Prakhonchai a couple of times a week so the guy should bring them in next week. He did say that the immigration officer was fiddling around for some time changing the dates on his stamp for the report slips.

Just as a side issue - he says he has four, IF these are indeed 90 day slips would three not suffice ?

Remember - I am just the messenger here trying to gleen and pass on information.

If they turn out to be luncheon vouchers don't fcuking blame me !!

DD, you already have the info/recommendation for the retirement visa.

I recommend you go to page 6 on this thread (reply #75) which lays out what I had to do to get a new extension.  Also look on page 7, reply #91 for forms to use.
