Evening all. Firstly, thanks for the call Frank, your information has been logged. Secondly, and not a lot of people will know this, but if someone travelling in your car or on your motorbike is killed in an accident AND the car or bike IS taxed, you can go to a government office ( the OSS Centre ) which is situated behind the main police station, and file a claim for extra compensation for the deceased. I never cease to be amazed with Amazing Thailand. So, go and check on your road tax slip and make sure it's current but preferably, don't have an accident !

Plenty of leads but no concrete evidence unfortunately but we haven't given up. I was in Buriram with Keow's parents yesterday dealing with a lot of ( unnecessary ) red tape. Just what they don't need at this moment. I still cannot begin to comprehend how they must feel and how they are coping but they are determined to find who killed their daughter. I wish I could help them more...

Maybe the problem here is that most "accidents" are caused through sheer stupidity, with all active road users both motor cyclists and vehicular users of the road who have no idea whatsoever what constitutes road safety ,that coupled with no one will ever admit it could be them that is at fault (perish the thought ) and the total disdain of the police to enforce the existing laws that are on the statute books leads to only one thing, continued slaughter on Thailand,s roads .!

Just who is the Culprit to this sad affair?,the lackadaisical bone idle police who simply refuse to enforce the law?, the complete indifference by all road users to drive a car or ride a motorcycle until they have a licence (a licence ) what a bloody joke, whistle , the "Thai way"is to NEVER admit you could be wrong and often lie through your back teeth to gain compensation ,(especially when a rich stupid farang is involved),  yep we are all millionaires did'nt you know  the way I see it the truth of this whole sad scene will never come out as to who is at fault ,as this is Thailand and Justice is just a figment of some dreamers vivid Imagination ,and like so many thousands of fatal "accidents" here the driver "fleeing the scene" is just part and and parcel of life here in Thailand .
