While he's certainly at risk of appearing disingenuous for making such a pronouncement, shoe designer Louboutin insists that high heels are a female's path to “orgasmic potential”. While he's no doctor, Louboutin tells the Daily Mail that one French “libido-pain” shoe expert agrees with his high-heeled prescription for “painstasy” (pain-ecstasy).



Pumps where a woman climaxes



Louboutin’s unnamed specialist explained:



“What is sexual in a high heel is the arch of the foot, because it is exactly the posi-tion of a woman's foot when she orgasms.”



Louboutin says that females are in “a possibly sexual situation” with the heels. The leg-lengthening glamor of high heels simply doesn't exist for men, he believes.



“A woman can be sexy, charming, witty, or shy with her shoes. ... Shoes for men are about elegance or wealth, (but) they are not playing with the inner character. That is why women are happy to wear painful shoes,” said Louboutin



Orgasms keep people healthy



A body is able to keep away from physical and mental decay through the libido energy released during an orgasm, according to Dr. Wilhelm Reich. The literature that Reich has doesn't talk about orgasms in high-heeled shoes. It has never been discussed. Louboutin's ridiculous pronouncements regarding the continuous climax or "pinchstasy" phenomenon is intended to sell shoes, not health.



What real doc-tors think



High heeled shoes do not promote orgasms as far as research suggests. In fact, research shows a lot of damage to come from high heel shoes. The knee joints end up with lots of pressure to them, Dr. Danielle Barkema discovered. This was shown in a study done at Iowa State University. The higher the heel, the more the risk increases.



"Everyone knows that high heels are bad for you," said Barkema. “It can get to the point where there's bone-on-bone contact, and knee replacements are in order.”



Dr. Marco Narici of the U.K.'s Manchester Metropolitan University also says wearing high heel shoes regularly can make flat-shoed activities like running uncomfortable. However, he does not go so far as to suggest that pumps should be banned.



"It would be very impractical,” Narici said. Stretching exercises help the heel a lot. It will feel much better.
