How do you define "best place"? I don't know if Buriram is the best place. There may be better places (Korat is not one of them) like Surin or Ubon. The trouble is, by the time you find out what actually is the best place, you have spent a lot of money and time, and at any time, something you had not foreseen, like a flood or drought, changes everything. Am I happy where I live now? Damn right... so far. Ask me again when something important changes.

My name is Dennis, I'm American and read the forum pretty religously because I'll be relocating in about 2 years.

Are there areas to stay away from due to recent flooding. What areas did and did not have bad flooding?
