Interesting that New Zealand and France are in the same group with France being one of only 3 teams to have beaten New Zealand in the World Cup.

The chances are that whoever loses the New Zealand v France game will play England in the quarters.

A lot to play for. England fans will be watching closely too as England have never beaten New Zealand in a World Cup.

That's if angleland get that far     walesflag

Yes indeed. I did say chances are. Could be setting myself up for a heavy fall here!!!!

I quite like a bit of rugby. I was in Bangkok a few years back when the 7s was on. Prefer the 15man version though. Does anyone know if it will be on TV?

Still tring to keep this topic on track. England captain had his Royal wedding today at Canongate Kirk Edinburgh attended by the Queen , Duke of Edinburgh  William and Kate  plus a bunch of his rugby pals. Martin Johnson's expected announcement has been delayed but he confirmed that several players have been released from his 45 man squad following the trial match at the Scoop on Thursday.
It will be very interesting to see the selection for next Saturdays England v Wales warm up game and also Ireland and France.

Tri-Nations result yesterday New Zealand 40 - 7 South Africa
Next weekend New Zealand will face Australia, the second favourites, at Auckland which should provide us with some idea of both teams form for the World Cup
