World Cup Rugby
« on: July 27, 2011, 12:32:16 PM »
World Cup Rugby 2011 New Zealand.

I know there are a lot of rugby fans out there so I thought it time ,as it's only just over a month away, to start this topic.

First controversial topic is england wearing a black strip.Even those who don't follow the sport that closely know that black is and always will be for the All Blacks.

I personally think England will do well in the rugby world cup a lot better than wales .This is my own sporting view on the tournament. We can have our ideas on the tournament purely on a sporting basis with no hidden agendas.

I get the feeling that Mr. Jones is going to be disappointed. Looks like England and New Zealand are going to be the sides to beat.

I personally think that New Zealand will end their long wait for a second title.

i agree with you starman on NEW ZEALAND but as for england not so sure,if you look back to the six nations,IRELAND beat england very easy.
i assume you are english and for that i truly feel sorry for you,but you should not run away with the idea that it's only going to be a two horse race.
i think england will do ok,but as a supporter of england you must admit that your country in sport seems to fade away when you are approaching the winning line,i mean look at the last world cup of football, england was the laughing stock of the world.
still i hope we all enjoy the rugby  and may the best team win,as long as it's not england.

I too would love to see Wales win it.Watching Shane Williams dancing around the opposition is "music to the ear". However being a Wales fan you always know that they are going to mess up..........I still have nightmares about Samoa, Fiji :o

What does the sporting oracle predict? do say oh wise one?

to early to start making predictions on who's going to win.
we still have teams playing friendly's so we have to take injury's into account and so on.
my heart on the other hand is saying WALES,but hope we all see a great world cup,and england go out in the group stage.

How many football world cup wins for Wales? How many times have Wales qualified? Rugby world cup wins? Lost finals? Semi final appearances?

I don't think you have to be English to realise that England are the most consistent and hard to beat rugby team in the Northern Hemisphere. The results speak for themselves. I do think that England will do well. I also believe that the time is now right for New Zealand. I think jonestherice has some other reasons for his comments and not just sporting ones.

i believe your original statement was about NEW ZEALAND and england,i just gave my opinion on what you said,at no time did i suggest WALES would win anything, and did not mention any history of the great country of WALES,in any specify sporting advents.
