I get the feeling that Mr. Jones is going to be disappointed. Looks like England and New Zealand are going to be the sides to beat.

I personally think that New Zealand will end their long wait for a second title.
i agree with you starman on NEW ZEALAND but as for england not so sure,if you look back to the six nations,IRELAND beat england very easy.
i assume you are english and for that i truly feel sorry for you,but you should not run away with the idea that it's only going to be a two horse race.
i think england will do ok,but as a supporter of england you must admit that your country in sport seems to fade away when you are approaching the winning line,i mean look at the last world cup of football, england was the laughing stock of the world.
still i hope we all enjoy the rugby  and may the best team win,as long as it's not england.
 walesflag forever in our hearts.

I don't think you have to be English to realise that England are the most consistent and hard to beat rugby team in the Northern Hemisphere. The results speak for themselves. I do think that England will do well. I also believe that the time is now right for New Zealand. I think jonestherice has some other reasons for his comments and not just sporting ones.
i already said i quote(i think england will do ok)and i also said that NEW ZEALAND will do well possible winners.
As for (i think jones the rice has some other reasons for his comments and not just sporting ones) why should i speak well of england when england never speaks well of anyone, secondly i am WELSH and have no loyalty or passion for england none at all.

My Government is the same as yours Mr Jones.

Anyway. What's that got to do with rugby.

I think New Zealand and England will be the teams to beat in this episode of the World Cup.

Germany v Germany???

You must be referring to the Anglo Saxons' origin and their subsequent invasion of mainland Britain.

I'm quite sure that there would have been some raping and pillaging going on during that invasion leading to some mixed race( Celt and Saxon) children being born. So do we really know where we are from?

Anyway, what's that got to do with rugby?

I think New Zealand and England will be the teams to beat in this episode of the World Cup.

i agree 100% GERMANY should have won the 1966 world cup, that 3rd english goal should never have been given, and then THE GREAT GERMAN team would have gone on and crushed the crumbling english.

Come on now guys lets stick to the topic Rugby World Cup. We have an exciting few months ahead starting on August 6th with the first back to back England v Wales pre world cup warm up games. I also think France are worth a mention and also the Aussies will be going for it as they seemed to recover well last weekend after Samoa gave them a bit of a seeing to the previous week. Now let us not forget Ireland there is a lot of experience there and it will be a bit like England 8 years ago with a number of great players coming to the end of their careears after this World Cup. Our good friends the Welsh can play some of the most exciting rugby but it just depends if they get off the bus (or in this case the plane) Anyway lets look forward and enjoy and stay with the topic and the real rugby issues.
Can't wait!!!

I agree with you too Downtime. Keep it on the rugby.

It's just that this obsession with England failure by the Welsh, as highlighted by jonestherice, is laughable. They even have a song "As long as we beat the English" Norrow mindedness to the extreme.
