My wife is being given some land that has a Chanote by her Auntie.
Can anyone tell me what the procedure is to do this (where to go, documents to provide, how long it takes, anything else that might be useful to know).
Thanks very much.
Mike
Hi Mike,
They will have to go to the local Land office of course.
Both of them will need to have ID card copies (+Originals) and the Original Chanote of course.
A contract of land transfer will also be needed but I'm not sure if its available in the land office or need to buy the contract/form prior your transfer date in Land office.
*I remember the land office officers were signing as witnesses in the contract, not sure about your specific situation.
How long it takes?
Land office in Buriram town is very busy and it may take all day so go early in the morning to catch a good number in the Que waiting line.
