Hi Guys

I'm working for the next month with limited internet access (my laptop died).

But it seems that anyone on their website who like either PEA or Muang Thong are violent, so all new
members must be vetted before access is allowed to the PEA page. I'm not sure if I am supposed to post on other topics that I have no interest in or what.

I'll check again next month when I get back to LOS...

Violent in NEW ZEALAND must have a different meaning?
Care to explain Wolfie?

I have not really got involved in this, but I can't see the point of inviting/encouraging registration and then start twatting about.

Are they a bunch of half-wits ?

I wasn't going to do this, but as Wolfie doesn't want to answer your questions, below is the message I received from him. Seems to be some history here that I know nothing about, can anyone on here explain? I guess it takes two to tango slapfight 2guys

A few PEA fans joined on Thaifootball.com, and to put it bluntly, were rather boorish. To be fair, there was a fair bit of anti-Buriram sentiment on there, and a few cheap shots amongst the serious concerns. However, when asked the hard questions, the PEA fans tended to either ignore or deflect the questions, focussing on off-topic parts of the question, and a bit of rudeness (sounds a bit prim put like that ). One or two of the PEA a guys took a dislike in particular to a Muang Thong fan, and took to putting offensive comments on his blog, facebook (either the club's or his), and very recently Twitter. In the end, the a group of frequent posters decided enough was enough, and that we wanted a forum that wasn't mired in childishness. One guy set up a new board, and off we went. The bulk of the PEA group were actually banned from thaifootball.com after we'd left (and we weren't the administrators)

The original idea was simply to keep out that particular group, but as this is the internet, the easiest way seemed to be to put all new members on 'probation' if you like. The admin who controls most memberships is the afore-mentioned MTU fan, so all new members are kept out of the MTU and PEA threads, until he's sure you're "normal". He's very concerned about letting on fans who may have contact with certain BE members. (I've seen a couple of the messages he's received in the past, although not the threats he say he's received). A few of us have made the point that it seems stupid to have no voice for PEA on there, but the harassment of that admin has continued, and he's reluctant to relax his stance at this stage.

Most of the complaining here on BE makes it sound like all we do is slag PEA, which is not true; according to my stats, less than 5% of my 600+ posts are in the PEA thread. By comparision, these guys barely post outside the PEA thread. Have a look on the old board to get an idea of what they think 'defending their team' is. My advice is get on, make yourself known, and post on other topics to convince Admin you're ok. I've already tried for you, but obviously the extent of my success was having you approved.

Hope this helps.

The Muang Thong fan is that the person who likened Buriram to North Korea?
Who accused the chairman of Buriram of paying the Referees?ETC ETC
As for posting offensive comments on his blog that is not true as you are unable to comment on his blog.Try his blog if you doubt me.Search google Muangthongblogspot, and try.
Below is a email that i got from him.

This is the last time I'll log on to this forum but I thought you deserved an explanation.

It is nothing to do with what team you support.
I'm truly sorry that you can't join in the discussion and I think most people would welcome you. However, there are two reasons why we've had to freeze out certain people and I think you know what they are. One, nobody has the right to post threatening and abusive messages to other people, second, we like to have a friendly and conducive atmosphere to our discussions. Unfortunately, people close to you don't care about either of those points.

I'm happy to stay in contact with you by email and I had a good idea for a PEA V MTU match preview we could do together but obviously it's up to you.
Best regards,
Greg

It would appear that Greg aka Samspade10 aka the_englishman has decided to make his blog a members only effort.
He has the front to suggest that Buriram is like North Korea and he takes this action, seems strange to me.
Still up to him he can have another form of commenting on Buriram PEA but I will get the password sooner or latter.

Binnsy - to answer your shoutbox question. I don't know.

To clarify what I said in my PM to Adam (posted above), dealing with memberships isn't part of my role as moderator. This is the only time I am going to answer you, candy, jimbo or anyone else in your group regarding someone else's membership. As Almog wisely posted earlier, contact the board directly if you have a question. I'm sure Adam & Really? are big boys, and are capable of sending a PM to me or the other board themselves.

The right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The ICCPR recognizes the right to freedom of speech as "the right to hold opinions without interference. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression."
