We do ask a lot of personal questions, don't we!   screwy

1)MY QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU DERIVE MONEY TO LIVE OFF WHILE IN THAILAND

2)Why did you move to thailand and leave your own country

3) my question is to all out there, what did you have to pay when getting married to a Thai lady,

Thanks for the reply , some think this is to personal to answer , its only a question, if it offends you , i would not answer , i dont live in Thailand as yet , what you say may be correct , i see many flangs in ban kraut , so that got me thinking , i presume most of the time would be life style as you say , it certainly is relaxing , and not the rapid pace of working in a capital city , so  please to all out there dont take offence.

I moved our of the uk so that I was no longer a burden on the government who have more than enough worries finding the money to fund all the one legged lesbian rumanian gypsies, poles, arabs, spics, wops and dagos etc., who wash up on uk shores in desperate need of a house, a car, free healthcare and lots of benefits for their myriad offspring.

It's only fair that I who paid taxes all my working life, spent ten years in army uniform and got shot at; should live on a measly fixed pension with no healthcare, so that any money grabbing sleazebag with his hand out, can live in comfort.

I chose Thailand for the temples and culture.

NICK to answer your questions......

1) I live off my huge state pension which is in my opinion a magnificent achievement

2) Temples and Culture of course

3) I paid 800,000 - but got every satang back immediatley - my wife had been married before - no children and divorced for 8 years. It was really just a face thing, more for my wife than her family, who live about 400k's away

At 40 years old I did a crazy thing, sold my semi in south London ,packed in a job were I was on £35k a years.packed my bags and headed east. The plan was to travel around S.E Asian and have fun.Ended up in Koh Samui and built a house and bought a bar.For 3 years I lived the single rock star life, girls every night in the jacuzzi at home but your body can only take so much, so when I met a nice girl from Surin I sold up again and now live the quiet life in the village

Hello Rufusredtail

I apologise for my earlier post. As a newbie you would not have been aware that there are/were a few banned members trying  to get back on, and your questions were similar to theirs.

I will give you an answer soon

regards...Nick

As I wipe a tear away from my eye, I just wish more UK citizens could take the same altruistic approach as you Joe.

I am sure the UK would be a far better place once it has been taken over by Muslims, or any other creed that takes advantage of the soft immigration rules.

The thought of you being shot at (presumably by friendly fire) is distressing, but not nearly as distressing as the image I have of you in uniform.

Still, the UK's loss is Thailand's gain and I am sure that you will continue to give your all to the Thai culture.

This thread is turning into comedy gold. Thank you.

Ray couches his insults in such mellifluous terms that rather than feeling slapped, I feel stroked and soothed.

But you should know that it was the uniform which caused me to leave the SAS on medical grounds.

The black balaclava we had to wear gave me a a really really bad skin rash......

Manupete saying thank you after being called a Supper Stud is still making me smile

What exactly is that Alan? Some special equipment for a dinner party I suppose.

Most people are coming to live in Thailand because of the low cost of living here compare to their country, In some countries (same other poster has pointed), the health system is no longer a benefit more than a private health insurance so people are making the balance and many are making the decision to live here in Thailand.
