These photos are from another lake side restaurant just the other side of the library. Sorry - I don't know the name but they had excellent Lap ped and cold Chang. Maybe you can figure out where it is from the pictures:

try the fresh but only fresh chicken and pork barbeque's shops on the sides of the roads,especially in bulamduang road and even in bus station area, (include bio diesel of course......  ) its getting more and more popular these kind of barbeque's, its really good when its fresh, with some hot sticky rice and some chilly 
cheap also.

"Katom Mee Chai" restaurant is a good Thai restaurant, Not expensive and tasty food.
Meal for 2 include 1 big bottle of Beer will cost under 250 Baht.
Located on Thani road, just after Bangkok bank branch down the road.
Opening hours are afternoon till very late.
Many people are going to eat in this restaurant after Disco/ night out.
