Nok Air to offer new Thai routes in April Bangkok Post: 28 Mar 2011 AIRLINES UPDATE- Nok Air will start flying from Don Mueang Airport to Nan, Roi Et, Loei and Mae Sot (in Tak province) from the beginning of next month.The first route to be launched will be a daily flight to Nan this Friday, followed by a daily flight to Roi Et on April 4, three flights a week to Loei on April 8 and four flights a week to Mae Sot on April 9.
All four routes are being operated under the Nok Mini brand using 34-seat Saab 340B aircraft.

- Starting this Friday, Thai Airways will reduce its domestic ticket prices by up to 16%.
The national carrier is hoping the new rates will boost its appeal to cost-conscious passengers and help increase its market share from 40% to 50%.

- Brisbane-based Strategic Airlines has introduced direct flight from Brisbane to Phuket, catering to both business- and economy-class passengers.
The firm is using a 274-seat Airbus A330. Flights depart from Brisbane Airport every Thursday and Sunday at 12:05pm, arriving in Phuket at 4:50pm (local time). The return flights will depart from Phuket International Airport every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:50pm, arriving in Brisbane at 6:50am on the following day.

- KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched a Green Challenge campaign to encourage people to share their green ideas by posting them on the airline's Facebook page (facebook.com/KLMThailand).
The theme is "What green project in Barcelona/Vienna can be applied to Thailand?"
The winner will the person who gets the highest "Like" rating and the prize is two return tickets to either Barcelona or Vienna with a three-night stay in a Le Meridien hotel.
All those who clicked on the "Like" icon for the winning idea will be in with a chance to get a dinner-buffet voucher for two people redeemable at the Plaza Athenee Bangkok.
