Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland. It originated as a Catholic holiday and became an official feast day in the early 17th century. It has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Irish culture.

It is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Newfoundland and Labrador and in Montserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora, especially in places such as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and Montserrat, among others.

I'm leaving Pattaya on the 16th the lorry (big songtaew) is arriving at 8am to load all our belongings so we should be on our way 9-10 am.

So I will be in Buriram (or Prakhon Chai or Prasat or Krasang) for the great day.

The cost in case anyone wants to know is 7,000 baht (includes 2 men the driver and his mate) if we need 3 men it's an additional 200 baht. I opted for 3 men as the do have to lift my bike into the back of the lorry and we (me the wife and little one go for free in the front the other 2 men are sitting in the back. No doubt I will stand them all some food and drink on the journey.

No alcohol for the driver the other two can drink what they want in fact I might join them in the back.

The driver is from Prakhon Chai if anyone wants the number let me know.
