The 2015 World Cup which will be held in Australia & NZ will only have 10 teams competing not 14 as in this years!

WOT! No Ireland? I shall demonstrate! Well I would, with a few beers if only Coffee Corner were open!

I think many people are very angry about this decision... especially the Irish, who are excluded.  ICC looks more to 20/20 for income, and cares less about the longer forms of the game... the real game, not hit and a giggle.
You was all for it the other month,so you must be happy

With all these quotations inside quotations, I've got lost!  I did not say last month that I hoped for fewer teams in the world cup;  I suggested, as far as I remember, an elimination contest first, leaving only eight teams to contest the WC proper.  This gives the up-and-coming associates a chance to compete, and a fair chance to reach the final stages.   And it shortens the intensive part (which wasn't intensive this time).  Others argued that it did the associates good to play against the big sides;  I can't disagree with that, but it would be nice to find a different way of doing it.

Anyway, now Ireland, who are maybe as good as Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, are left out in the cold... and Afghanistan, who are a better side than Netherlands and Kenya, won't get a look-in.
