I shall probably be there on March 8th;  my 90-days is due on March 10th, and my annual visa renewal before March 31st, so it fits well for me.

Works out just fine for some of us Mike ..:-)

Even better than I said, Al.  I do one 90-days at Surin, the next at Buriram and so on... I live roughly half-way between the two!

If the local Post-Office is nearer  it could be even easier ..:-)

Why? It saves the long trip to their office, there alot of money to be saved by doing the 90 days notification in Buriram/Surin.
Let's see their 1st visit and I will also go there to check how things are really working and will report to you.

It depends on where you live & when your 90day report falls as to whether or not it suits people

Although I live within Buriram is a hell of a lot closer to go to Dan Kwan than either Buriram or Surin

You are lucky to live so near to Dan Kwan......not the same for most of us.Its 250k ( Each way ) to Korat for me and only 60k to Surin and about 110k to Buriram so a big saving for me.:-)

I went to Korat yesterday (Tuesday) thanks to all the input a faultless journey. The lady who issued my visa stated that I could do my 90 day visit up to  15 days before due date and up to 7 days after due date and could use either Buriram, Surin, or Chong Chom, no mention of postal renewal though

This has been posted on SF today...

Quote
"A friend of mine rang Korat Immigration today (2 Feb) and was told most emphatically that he could not do his 90-day report by post. Must physically submit the 90-day report to either Chom Chom or Korat."
Any comments???

Maybe misunderstanding or unwillingness to pay the fees. hahaha
I already posted my conversation and understanding based on Korat immigration instructions and I advice to first try do the 90 days report on the mail and see if it works, also, soon the Korat immigration will come to Buriram (Tuesday, 8/2/2011) so
I will clarify it with them to make things straight face2face.  reiki1
