I do miss a decent cyder. I lived in Devon, SW England for 22 years and sampled some dodgy stuff including scrumpy. I'd be interested in buying a case if priceis reasonable.

The Swan has had Magners Cans (1 left as of yesterday).  They also have Blackthorne and Ole English ciders.

Last time I tried they Irish Bar they did not have it.

Blackthorn,Olde English & Natch are no longer imported into Thailand.

Has anyone tried to make their own cider? It's very easy: 5 ltr Apple Juice, 400gr inverted Sugar, 2 tsp dry yeast. Mix, let ferment for 5 to 6 days, refrigirate and enjoy.

What is inverted sugar?

Sugar broken down to its component parts, glucose and fructose. Easy to make by disolving sugar into water (2:1), adding lime or lemon juice for acidity and then boiling for 20 - 30 minutes. Yeast cope better with inverted sugar than whole sugar (sucrose).
