Wicker or Rattan furniture
« on: January 12, 2011, 01:44:00 PM »
Is there anyplace in the area that sells or manufactures this kind of furniture.  I have seen wicker on a pu truck and again stacked high on a motorcycle side-hack--both looked as if they were going to be sold.
     Is there any help here??

Usually the sellers are driving around the villages and the city, sometimes a one person with a cart carrying the furniture's as they are light and not heavy.
A place where I see some kinds of Rattan furniture's is home-pro in Korat, maybe also in one of the shops in Buriram, you should tour around and see by yourself.

Many of the furniture's are actually from rubber and not real wood.
*It might be an advantage as they are washable.. jumping8

Rattan:
Rattan is the common names for a climbing palm found deep in Thai jungles. The name ‘rattan’ is derived from the word ‘rotan’.

I have one at home just outside for laying down outside of the house.
If this one will break, which I think it will soon as they aren't strong at all. I am not complaining because they are cheap if I recall correctly we bought it for a thousand baht or so.
anyhow, my next one will be plastic, washable and more stable. party8
