We all have our crazies.  But in Thailand, a place where you can not own a gun to protect yourself, I see more gun related deaths in the news than here in the USA.  Gun ownership works.  Just how to keep them out of the hands of the crazies is the hard part. wildman

Thai's can own a gun, farangs can't.

Incorrect sunshine Farang can legally own a fire arm in Thailand.

Please enlighten me.  Last I was told I would have to put the gun in my wife's or father-in-law's name.

More incorrect bar room info. Not easy but a foreigner can own a gun in Thailand.

That's another Thai that does not know his own laws which is very common.

Now for your second question. Importing guns. This could be a ball buster. Nothing says you can't....

Read the whole article and I agree with it.. We don't need gun control... We need people control.. Chicago has one of the toughest gun control laws on the books but those laws haven't decreased violent crime there.. The only thing gun control has done is keep the general, law abiding, population from defending itself.. Illegal firearms are easily obtainable to the bad guys anywhere.. This country is a good example of that.. Anyone can get a gun.. To legally obtain and carry a gun here or in the United States is a different story..

Bad guys can get guns anywhere in the world, agreed. My question is who does most of the shooting, I don't think it's bad guys. I think it is fairly normal people, who are reacting to the moment.  If guns were harder to get, these fairly normal people wouldn't have them to over react with in the first place.
Yes, there will be a killing by a bad guy that could have been prevented if the victim was armed, but the does that justify the thousands of cases that would not occur if guns were harder to get.

Respectfully disagree.. Not only wrong but dead wrong.. The vast majority of the shootings are done by the bad guys.. Could be we
have a difference of opinion as to who the bad guys are?  Overreaction?  Overreaction to what?  Being robbed, being raped, being
murdered, having you home invaded, being car jacked?  Just to name a few.. We have an old saying back home... I'd rather be
judged by 12 then carried by 6.. If it's my life or theirs they lose.. To me it's called self defense.. Until they can keep the guns
out of the hands of the bad guys then I'll keep mine and defend, to the death, the right for anyone to carry a firearm.. It's the
2nd amendment that protects the 1st amendment...

I've lived all over the world never needed a gun to protect myself. If you yanks didn't all have guns, you would find the same, however it is now too late for your country to change back to being a civilized country. moneysmile

I've lived all over the world as well Adam... You're a lucky man to have never needed to protect yourself with a gun..
I haven't either but there again I don't hold anything against those who do carry.. As for the civilized crap you vomited..
We are much more civilized and benevolent then most countries on the planet... Hope you enjoyed your opportunity to
take another cheap shot at my country again.. Which is something you do quite often... Have a good day.. Take Care
, God Bless, and Be Well...
