den Buut,
I find your attempt to make Paddy and my conversation into some kind of gun owners love fest grossly, grossly offensive! Of all the people qualified to speak on gun ownership problems no one qualifies more than the people of of Ireland. Considering that the firearms used by PIRA were almost all supplied by or funded by certain citizens of the USA gives Paddy not only the right to speak on this matter but makes his comments wholely relevant to the discussion of gun ownership in the USA. It would appear to me that your objection to our discussion revolves around it's rationality......something that is missing from your argument.
To be frank I think you are a misinformed, self opinionated with limited life experience. I look forward to expressing those comments to you personally in Thailand. I suggest you go away now and play with your plastic blocks and weave wicker baskets.
Paddy I look forward to a bevvy with you in Ireland or Thailand :-)
Cheers,
John

hahaha  Thanks John, very well put.

I would be happy to go for that bevvy, Maybe den Buut could join us. mhihi
The family and I only go back to Thailand once a year for a month or so in the Summer, but when I'm there I can frequently be found in either Paddy's Irish bar or the International bar.  But seriously, if you are ever In Ireland (near Cork), give me shout.  Being Irish, all I need to go for pint is an excuse.  happybar

I have dear friends on both sides of the handgun issue, those who believe easy access to hand guns is not good for this country and those who believe government has no business dictating ownership one way or the other.I have gained valuable understanding from both arguments, and I have made my final decision. It is now my firm belief that certain Americans, especially those who are more likely to become victims of crime, need to own and become proficient with handguns!

I can't discuss it further right now. Gotta get back to the firing range. It's my turn to pick up the brass behind the shooting stations.
