Increased UK APD thats Airport Duty for the uninitiated!

Well thanks to the previous gov't with effect from 1st November the Airport Departure duty is to increase and for a UK - BKK flight that is band C which is for flights from 4,001 -6,000 miles and this means you will be shafted for another £50 up from £100 to £150. 

So on top of the Security Charge and War Srcharge what else can they dream up to part you from your tax paid wonga?

Still be grateful if UK - BKK was 6001+ miles you would be parted from even more. Lets hope there's no shift in the tectonic plates!

However all the UK based airlines are wingeing about this further nail in the coffin, lets hope it doe's not fall on deaf ears!

Well just had e-mail off peps providing my flight, I thought UH HU, here we go they will be looking for some more monies!!!

But no word of extra monies, just another flight intinanery, with same price and fully paid marked underneath.

Your probably right there Nookiebear, as flight was £620 this time around,usually get for about £460. But I was putting down to coming in "high season" instead of the low season I usually visit in.

Oh I fly out of Edinburgh or Glasgow, hence the slightly higher price
