Honda launches sport bike in Thailand

Honda launches 150cc sport bike

AP Honda, the local motorcycle market leader, has introduced the first 150cc sport bike offering fuel injection technology.

President Chiaki Kato said the Honda CBR150R FI represented a milestone for the company in its effort to cover all market segments.

The new engine offers higher performance and the design presents a big-bike image.
The model has six gears and a liquid cooling system with electric fan, as well as a large 13-litre fuel tank. The fuel injection system meets the yet-to-be-introduced Euro 6 emission standard, 80% lower than Euro 5.

The CBR150R FI will be available in the market from Nov 10 at a starting price of 75,900 baht.
The company targets annual sales of 10,000 units.

Mr Kato said the Philippines had also expressed interest in importing 3,000 units of the bike.
