Poll: People not happy with police workA latest survey revealed that most respondents are not satisfied with the police performance.
The study conducted by Abac Poll involved 1,174 household respondents from 17 provinces across the country and 567 police respondents.
66.9 per cent of the household respondents believed the police were not concerned for the people and their work for communities were inadequate.
54 per cent believed the government did not provide proper welfare for the police.
However, 76.5 per cent of the police respondents said the public had too much expectation on their competency.
Other police respondents said the people's views on the police were overly negative.
72.2 per cent said they were confident in the new national police chief, Pol Gen Wichean Potephosree.
