Honda quit F1
« on: December 05, 2008, 10:20:15 PM »
Hi

Oh Dear, Honda pull the plug on F1, Jenson Button out of a drive for 2009?

Surely Bernie has an obligation with all the circuit owners to provide a viable grid of X number of cars. Bearing in mind 26 used to constitute a grid not that long ago and there were 22 cars during 2007 it looks as if crunch time is fast approaching!

If I was a govt/circuit owner who had poured hundreds of millions into a new circuit I would be getting rather anxious.  I suspect we might see a couple of teams running 3 cars for 2009. But we want and need more variety not more of the same. Time will tell.

Perhaps a rehash of the scheme for customer cars as per Prodrive is needed?
